Ultimate Convenience.

When it comes to food shopping, one of the biggest factors that the majority of customers will want is convenience. They don't want to have to work when shopping, they want an easy experience where finding things is quick and simple.

Convenience is something which every store design needs to take into consideration. Product display needs to be concise, clear and easy so that customers can find what they want. To make things easier for the buyers, it’s vital that you have the right shelving and display equipment. For example, Shelving4Shops has a range of shelving that you can tilt to certain angles, ideal for displaying confectionary. Pegboard backing on a unit means you can put lots of products together, keeping everything related in one place.

Our magazine shelving means you can put out lots of different products in a way that makes it easy for the customer to quickly find the specific one they are looking for. People are more likely to be put off if they have to spend a lot of time searching for a product.

Obviously it is also important that if you are displaying fresh, frozen or refrigerated items, that you have a chiller. Shelving4Shops can offer advice on selecting and placing the right one, as it's such a vital piece of equipment and not a decision you want to make lightly.

All of this equipment really does add up, so Shelving4Shops also stock second hand and used equipment for food stores. Visit our website www.shelving4shops.co.uk to view our range of shop shelving and accessories range.

Finding The Perfect Shelving Balance

If you work in retail, then you’re fully aware that competition between stores has never been higher. Stores left, right and centre are striving to compete for customers’ attention and to get them to shop at their store instead of their competitors’, which is why it’s important to ensure that your store is in prime condition.
Shop Shelving from Shelving4shops
Ensuring that your store stands out from the crowd can be tricky. More and more stores are coming up with different ways to grab potential customers attention, however a stand out store starts with stand out shelving.

It’s important to find the right balance between providing an easy customer shopping experience, combined with a unique store layout. The majority of our shelving units are adjustable, allowing you to adapt them into your store. Try not to over complicate your layout though, there’s a fine line in looking different from your competitors and creating a complex store layout. Of course, you don’t want it to be too mundane either, as customers will then travel elsewhere for a more unique shopping experience. Finding the right balance between the two can be tough, which is why our friendly sales team are always happy to help you find the right shelving solutions for your store. Just give us an idea of your store layout and what you’re after. We’ll do our best to find you the perfect solution to suit your requirements.

Convenience Store Shelving

We understand that you want to make the most out of what space you have, especially when there isn’t a lot of it. Even if you have a small store, there’s still pressure to make space and fit large amounts of stock out on display.

Some customers tend to prefer smaller stores to larger ones. It usually has all the basics they need, they don’t feel daunted or lost and they usually allow for easy navigation. However, usually smaller stores only have a small amount of storage space, so it can be tempting to just put out as much stock as you possibly can so you can free up extra storage space in the warehouse. It can then be difficult to find a perfect balance, and to not make the store look too packed and crowded. Customers can end up feeling cramped and confined if there’s too much stock squashed in such a small amount of space. In situations like this, customers can even end up feeling claustrophobic. This definitely isn’t the feeling or impression you want to give to customers, it will deter them from your store entirely.

It’s all about displaying the products on a shelf effectively to find the right balance between the amount of product and space you have available. Deep set shelves allow for large amounts of products to be stored in the same section without being too confined and cramped.

It’s all about making the most out of what space you have available when it comes to smaller spaces. Which is why corner units are also ideal for smaller stores. Instead of stacking products on the floor to fill up a corner, corner units make a great addition to smaller spaces and allow you to display merchandise more effectively.

Keep Clean!

You may have spent a lot of time and effort to ensure that your store is displaying merchandise perfectly, but the effort shouldn’t stop there. Keeping your shelves and units dust and dirt free also plays a major key role in maintaining a favourable customer reputation.

It’s extremely easy to forget to keep your shelves clean and tidy. But neglecting them can have a detrimental effect on your store’s valued reputation, as well as your customer credibility. Keeping shelves dust free ensures shelves look presentable and customer friendly. Sleek looking shelves allows customers to easily approach them and shop for a product, without being totally disgusted by the uncleanliness of the shelf that the product sits on. Having a filthy shelf also gives off the impression of unprofessionalism in the store as well as the company, and that can quickly establish a negative reputation amongst the store’s potential and existing customers. It also implies the product is unpopular as the assumption is that a product which is selling well wouldn’t have time to let dust build up on the shelf.

Remember that Health and Safety can either make or break a store. If a customer was to report poor standards to Health and Safety, then the chances are it will become publicly noted, and destroy what took years to build up a valued customer reputation.

If you can put the time and effort into a store layout, you can surely find the time to do a quick dust down on the shelves and units. It almost counteracts the beautiful display you’ve put together if they end up filthy within a few weeks time. A few minutes every couple of days can ensure your shop stays reputable, as well as ensuring continuous customer loyalty, which is always a bonus.

Book Shelving Stands for a Major Book Distributor

A major book and magazine distributor contacted us recently asking for a quote on book stand shelving for twenty sites around the UK and Shelving4Shops was able to offer them a 50% reduction on their existing quotation.

We began to roll out these new bookshelves earlier this month and have had great feedback. These book and magazine shelves are easy to install, sturdy and great value for money, and can also be uses for books, magazines and newspapers.

Winning such sought-after contracts makes us proud of our fast, friendly and dedicated team. We are constantly looking for the best deal for our customers so that we can offer great prices as well as advice on lowering your costs.

The Shelving4Shops showroom is based in Wolvey and provides you with the opportunity to see our magazine shelving for yourself, as well as our extensive range of other shelving options. If you are thinking of opening a store, or planning a refit, bring along your plans and we can give you one-to-one experienced advice on layouts and maybe even come up with some extra ideas. We have a full range of shelving available in cream, black and grey including:

- Wall Shelving - An excellent shelving option to put around the edge of your store, these bays sit flush against the wall giving you the maximum storage possible.
- Gondolas - Often this is the most popular choice for shelving in a store as this can be used to create aisles throughout your store and we stock 4 widths and 4 heights to ensure we have the correct size to fit you and your store.
- Magazine Units - The biggest selling point of a magazine is the front cover, using specialist shelving ensures that you display the magazines or any paper goods in the most appealing way possible to customers.
- Shelves and Accessories - Customise your shelving to suit you and your needs with our extensive range of shelving accessories to make the most of the shelving you have.
- End Bays - The end of aisles receives a lot of foot traffic so this is an excellent place to display sale and impulse purchase items.
- Corner Shelving - Utilise every inch of floor space you have by using corner shelving to fill that forgotten back corner of your store.
- Peg Board Wall Shelving - Peg board shelving is excellent if you have lots of items that do not sit well on a shelf and need to be hung. You can add hooks to hang items on or when you need more flat space you can add shelves to the pegboard to ensure you are always using the space.
- Peg Board Gondola Shelving - These bays offer you space to hang items that do not sit well on a flat surface. These bays can be used in connection with our other bay units to create seamless displays.
