Make Those Aisles Work For You!

Aisles create direction in a store, they help a customer navigate round your shop, but they also do much more when used effectively. Aisles give the customers exposure to all your products, so with the right shelving you can display the maximum amount of products. It's well known that the more products people see, the more they buy.

Following this train of thought, it’s definitely worth spending time planning your store layout and considering how you will order and display your products. There are a few points to take into consideration:

1) Breaking up natural spaces with product displays, for example the door to counter line. Putting a display here gives people an obstacle to negotiate, which means that they have to look at it and give it their attention. Another idea here is to use the queue area to promote products. You can even create the queue space by using our wire dump baskets to shift stock and get those last minute sales.

2) Create aisles! They encourage movement and browsing and give customers a sense of direction, and most importantly, they give you the chance to display products! Aisles that have structure and are labelled make it easy for customers in a hurry to see exactly where the product they want will be. Our gondola units are perfect for creating aisles whilst maximising store space. You can customise these to meet whatever needs your store has. For example, we sell peg boards for more awkward products or wire baskets to contain lose items that don't sit well on shelves.

3) Lastly, don't have dead ends! Customers will see these "traps" and will avoid them, leaving these aisles unbrowsed. Leaving the ends of aisles open draws customers into the shop and invites them to explore further.

Large Store Shelving

Shelving isn’t just about displaying and holding products. It’s about making the most out of what space and merchandise are available and help establish a good customer reputation and shopping experience.

Large stores can be quite daunting for customers to shop/browse in. Sometimes the customer simply has no idea where to start, so it’s important to make sure it’s as easy as possible for them to navigate through. This helps provide a more efficient shopping experience for the customer, and helps provide you with a positive customer reputation.

However we understand that sometimes it can be difficult to make such a large space look full and complete. Spare spaces and empty looking shelves don’t quite give off the ideal impression towards customers. It can make the store appear as if it’s unmanned, or as if it's going out of business. It also makes shopping more difficult for customers to find what they’re looking for.

Large amounts of stock tend to come with large stores, so it can be tempting to just dump as much stock as possible to fill up an empty void. Many people don’t bother using such a large space to its best capabilities. They tend to just see a generous amount of space and fill it up with as much stock as they possibly can with no strategy behind it whatsoever. This isn’t in the best interests of the store, or for the customer in that matter. Displaying as much stock as possible isn’t the best tactic, it can look messy, dishevelled and can actually counteract sales altogether as it’s harder for the customer to shop and navigate through.

Shelving units that are deep allow you to have displays that are full with merchandise, giving off the impression of a well established company and business. Of course, it entirely depends on how much stock and merchandise you have in the first place. If you have large amounts of stock it can be easy to fill up the shelving units, however when you have low amounts of stock, it’s best to make the most out of what you have.

Gondolas are useful for creating aisles, which fit perfectly within large store spaces. Sometimes large store spaces can appear to be baffling, and can sometimes dishearten customers from shopping. Customers don’t want to have to make an effort to shop, they want to be navigated and directed through to what they want. Aisles are a great way of ensuring easy navigation and encourage customer traffic flow.

Convenience Store Shelving

We understand that you want to make the most out of what space you have, especially when there isn’t a lot of it. Even if you have a small store, there’s still pressure to make space and fit large amounts of stock out on display.

Some customers tend to prefer smaller stores to larger ones. It usually has all the basics they need, they don’t feel daunted or lost and they usually allow for easy navigation. However, usually smaller stores only have a small amount of storage space, so it can be tempting to just put out as much stock as you possibly can so you can free up extra storage space in the warehouse. It can then be difficult to find a perfect balance, and to not make the store look too packed and crowded. Customers can end up feeling cramped and confined if there’s too much stock squashed in such a small amount of space. In situations like this, customers can even end up feeling claustrophobic. This definitely isn’t the feeling or impression you want to give to customers, it will deter them from your store entirely.

It’s all about displaying the products on a shelf effectively to find the right balance between the amount of product and space you have available. Deep set shelves allow for large amounts of products to be stored in the same section without being too confined and cramped.

It’s all about making the most out of what space you have available when it comes to smaller spaces. Which is why corner units are also ideal for smaller stores. Instead of stacking products on the floor to fill up a corner, corner units make a great addition to smaller spaces and allow you to display merchandise more effectively.

For more information on our range of retail shelving products you can email us direct on sales at shelving4shops.co.uk or call on 01455 221512.

Shelving4Shops Leicestershire Showroom

End Finishing Legs
Here at Shelving4Shops, we want to ensure that you make the most out of your store. However, we understand that sometimes it can get a little frustrating trying to develop and visualise a layout that appeals to customers, and fits within a budget. Our shelving show room located in Leicestershire can help you do just that. We have an extensive range of shelving units for you to browse through, and allow you to choose the best shelving and racking units to help you make the most out of your retail space.

Whether you’re opening a completely brand new store, replacing certain units or just looking to freshen up your store, our friendly expert sales team will always be happy to help you find your ideal fit and ensure you make the best use of your shop floor space.

If you’re struggling to visualise a shop layout that best suits you, our shop fitting showroom in Leicestershire holds a large variety of assorted shelving units and styles, in various depths and heights. We also stock and sell used racking which can be easily integrated into your current store layout. Ideal if you’re looking for a new look on a tight budget.

At Shelving4Shops, we understand the importance of finding that ideal shelving or racking unit. Height and depth are major elements to consider when choosing new units. Having a unit thats too deep in depth create the illusion of a cramped and confined store. Merchandise can become hidden, and your customers browsing experience can be affected. Units that are too tall in height hide customers, and can pose a security threat concerning shoplifting.

If you’re struggling to find certain shelving units to suit you, or just need some friendly advice, our shop fitting showroom in Leicestershire will enable you to visualise your ideal retail space. If you’re interested in visiting us, our showroom is located in Wolvey, Leicestershire, just off the M69. Or if you just need some quick and friendly advice on planning your shop, you can call us on 01455 221512, and our expert design team will be happy to help you create that perfect plan.

Wire Stacking Baskets & Wire Shelving

Wire Stacking Baskets & Wire ShelvingEven when you’ve developed the ideal shop floor plan and layout, you still might find a few empty awkward spaces here and there. Wire Stacking Baskets and Shelving are ideal for filling up that extra space, ensuring that you make the most out of your store layout.

Our wire stacking baskets are extremely versatile and come as individual units. They can easily be stacked on top of each other or fitted together to make the most out of your store space. These units are ideal if you want to shift excess merchandise, or continue to promote a fast selling product. Placing these at the till points will encourage customers to put items in their basket whilst waiting to pay.

According to recent reports, around 90% of people are prone to impulse buying. This is when customers purchase items that weren’t originally on their shopping list. This is either due to the item being on offer, or just the ease of adding the item to their basket. Customers tend to not want to go out of their way to reach for products, they want to shop for items that require as little effort as possible, which is where wire stacking baskets and wire shelving come into place.

Our freestanding wire shelving units are perfect for when you have an empty wall space; a wire shelving unit can temporarily fill out that space, as emptiness within a store can give the impression of an under developed store.

Here at Shelving4Shops we understand the importance of keeping the store layout ‘fresh’ for prospective customers. Our lightweight wire stacking baskets and shelving units are ideal for temporary solutions, or for just swiftly changing the dynamics of the store layout without making any drastic changes.

We also understand that within the retail sector, temporary changes to promotional lines and layouts are a common occurrence and are often last minute. Wire stacking baskets, dump bins and shelving units are excellent temporary solutions.

Dump Bins - They’re Not All Rubbish

Dump Bins. The name might not be so glamorous, but they’re more convenient than you think, and they can definitely benefit your business in a variety of ways.

Not a lot of customers appreciate shopping in a seriously cramped shop with little amounts of space to browse; it completely counteracts the concept of great customer experience. However, the alternative doesn’t have to be having vast amounts of empty floor space; this can come across as a little eerie. This is where dump bins come into the equation. These are an easy and efficient way to fill up empty floor space, and they also look neat, tidy and can easily fit into a lonely corner.

Dump bins can also help you move excess products. If you find that you have an excess amount of a product just sitting around aimlessly, dump bins are a great way of shifting that product fast and effectively, as customers subconsciously just pick up a product that they weren’t even out shopping for in the first place.

They also help products come across as a bit of a bargain. The majority of stores use dump bins to effectively shift an offer on a product they have an excess amount of because it makes them seem more of a bargain..

Of course it’s important to remember that not all products work that well in dump bins. It wouldn’t be a great idea to dump a pile of magazines into a dump bin, they would probably be ruined within days, and therefore the value of the magazines would be severely decreased. The same would apply to delicate items that are prone to smashing or breaking, this would then clearly become a health and safety issue. Ensure that you use your dump bin effectively!

Shop Counters and Countertop Displays

Shop owners spend a lot of time organising the main retail shelving units in their store, such as wall shelving, gondola shelving and magazine shelving, but there's one more area that can provide a beneficial space for additional displays - your shop counter.

Shop counter displays are great because they offer maximum exposure, being seen by the majority of customers - even those just popping in for a bottle of milk. There are many different ways to utilise your counter space with additional shelving and displays, for example:

  • Line up dump bins and wire stacking baskets to form a queuing area - these storage baskets can be stocked with promotional items, end-of-line stock, awkwardly shaped products or whatever you'd like to encourage your customers to grab as they line up to pay;
  • Arrange riser sets, literature holders and spinners on your shop countertop to display small items that are perfect for suitable for impulse buys;
  • Promo items and discounted products will sell like hot cakes when placed on your counter - perhaps in a display basket with bright signage?
  • Remind customers of special offers verbally and with signs at the counter so they may decide to take another trip around the store before checking out;
  • Consider setting up a loyalty card scheme for regular customers and popular items using a stamp and special discounts for repeat buys.

Visit our website to find out more about any of the items above and to browse our huge range of new shop shelving and accessories, including:
  • ·     Gondola shelving - A popular choice in many stores due to its versatility and functionality, gondola shelving is a staple shelving option for stores of any size. You can use this shelving to create aisles within your store and the range of heights and widths we stock mean that we have the shelving size for you.
    ·     Wall shelving - Use wall shelving around the edge of your store to provide plenty of shelving space while optimising the floor space you have available.
    ·     Shopping baskets - By having stacks of baskets at the front of the store and dotted around the aisles you will encourage customers to purchase more items as it is easier to carry them in a basket than with their hands.
    ·     Wire stacking baskets - These are an excellent way to display sale and impulse purchase items in your store. As these are freestanding they can be used to fill empty spaces and can be easily moved to create new interesting displays.
    ·     Corner shelving - Utilise every inch of floor space you have in your store by using specialist corner shelving to bring life back into an overlooked corner.
    ·     Peg board shelving and pegs - Not all products sit well on classic flat shelving, our range of pegboard shelving allows you to hang products to ensure they are displayed in the best way possible. All of our bays can be slotted together to ensure a seamless shelving display.
There are endless ways to set up your shop counter to maximise sales - visit our retail shelving showroom in Leicestershire or get in touch with us at Shelving4Shops and let us help you design your perfect store with every type of retail racking and shelving you could possibly need!

Use Shop Shelving Techniques to Increase Sales

Did you know that your shop layout and the way you stack your shelves can have an effect on your sales? It's common sense that keeping your store tidy and clean is a good first step in appealing to customers, but the actual configuration of your shop shelving plays an important part in how your customers move around your shop, and can even encourage customers to make more spontaneous purchases. At Shelving 4 Shops we're experts in shelving, with over 15 years' experience in the retail industry. Here are our top tips on using shop shelving to increase your sales and improve the layout of your store:

  • Plan your store carefully to maximise space and make shopping efficient and easy for customers. If you need help, the team at Shelving4Shops will be happy to take a look at your floor plans and give you some tips!
  • Organise your shelving so that there's a natural flow around the store and customers can easily find related items close by. Positioning your most popular items at the very back of your store ensures that customers will pass the majority of your stock on their way to pick them up, increasing the likelihood that they'll also choose another product on their way to the counter;
  • Gondola shelving allows you to create aisles and maximise space in your store by stocking products on both sides of the unit. Join several gondola units together to form a run and cap with end bays for a neat look;
  • Make the most of adjustable shelf heights and interchangeable shelf backing to make your shelving suit your products. Never try to cram stock into the wrong sized shelf - it will damage goods and look messy. Flexible and adaptable shelving allows you to make your shelving suit your products perfectly;
  • Place popular or premium items at eye-level to maximise sales. Adding vertical height to your shelving also draws the eye upwards and provides extra display space;
  • Reposition your shelving to display promotional items clearly and increase spontaneous sales. Use end bays, corner shelving units and dump bins to prominently display popular items that customers will be most likely to grab on their way around;
  • Open up your shop with the right shelving plan. Choose units with a depth that suits your floor space rather than going for the largest shelving unit you can fit in the store. It's better to have a store that is easy to browse and looks as spacious as possible;
  • Change your displays to reflect the latest offers, public holidays, seasons and to show off new stock. Keeping your store looking fresh and new can encourage regular customers to make extra purchases;
  • Don't forget about the little details like Epos ticket strips, shelf dividers, shelf risers, dump bins, shopping baskets, wire stacking shelves and other shelving accessories!

At Shelving4Shops we hold large quantities of shop shelving and accessories, including:

· Gondola shelving - This is one of the most popular shelving choices we offer, it is a highly versatile option that can be used to create aisles throughout your store or can be used in conjunction with other shelving units we offer to create one seamless shelving unit throughout your store.
· Wall shelving - This shelving can be used around the perimeter of your shop floor to maximise your floor space and provide ample room for displaying items.
· Shopping baskets - Using baskets throughout your store encourages customers to pick up more items throughout their visit as they are not having to balance items in their arms.
· Wire stacking baskets and dump bins - These are an excellent way to display impulse purchase items and sale items throughout the store. As these are freestanding they can be used to fill empty space in your store and can be easily moved to create new interesting displays.
· Corner shelving - Utilise every inch of floor space you have by using specialist corner shelving to bring life back into an overlooked corner of your store. These units can be used in conjunction with our other bay units to create a seamless display.
· Peg board shelving and pegs - Not all products sit well on classic flat shelving, our range of pegboard shelving allows you to hang products to ensure they are displayed in the best way possible. All of our bays can be slotted together to ensure a seamless shelving display.

Making small changes to your store can make a big difference to your sales. For more advice on organising your store shelving and to browse our huge range of shelving and accessories, get in touch with us at Shelving4Shops or visit our Leicestershire showroom.

Extra Shop Shelving for Displaying Christmas Stock

Christmas is coming! The next few months are always a busy time for retailers but you can make the most of the holiday period by thinking carefully about your shop shelving configuration and the way you display your goods. You could really boost your Christmas sales with a few small changes to your store!

One of the easiest ways to improve the efficiency of your store is by filling all the awkward empty spaces with extra shelving like dump bins and stacking wire baskets. These lightweight temporary shelving accessories make the very best of your store space and maximise the number of products you can display. Line up dump bins by your counter to create a handy queuing area with plenty of room for stocking promotional and seasonal items. Stacking wire baskets are perfect for fresh produce or products that are difficult to stack on a standard shelf.

For wall shelving and gondola shelving, little additions can make a big difference to the efficiency of your store, such as end bays, corner shelving units and promotional bays to cap off each run. These provide extra shelving space with a big impact, especially when they face the front doors and will be the first thing visitors see.

Getting some new signage and Epos strips is an easy and cheap way of sprucing up your store in time for Christmas, along with some festive decorations and a bit of tinsel! And don't forget shelving and shop shelving accessories like coloured shopping baskets to make your store as inviting and easy-to-use as possible.

At Shelving4Shops we hold large quantities of used and new shop shelving and accessories, including:

If you need some extra shop shelving or retail advice in the run up to Christmas please get in touch with us at Shelving 4 Shops and we'll be happy to give you some extra tips!

Boost Sales with Fill-in Products

A little extra shop shelving can allow you to offer existing customers extra products to encourage repeat business and acquire new customers. Have you thought about adding fill-in products to your stock to help boost sales? Many convenience stores and local retail shops are taking advantage of this simple method to maximise purchases by providing customers with a wider range of products so that they don't need to travel all the way to the supermarket.

Feature displays and extra products for commonly purchased fill-in items bring new consumers into your store and encourage regular customers to buy additional products when they visit. The type of fill-ins you stock will depend on your area, your other products and your customers, and might include:

  • Pet food and supplies
  • Health and beauty products
  • Home and garden products
  • Seasonal goods
  • Clothing, accessories and shoes
  • Car supplies and accessories
  • Paper goods

Local shoppers often don't want to drive all the way to a department store or supermarket to buy just a few items, so stocking popular products in a convenience store means that you can capture an extra sector of business.

If you have enough existing shelving for extra products, great! But if not, you might want to consider upgrading or adapting your shelving layout to allow for a new range of items. Gondola shelving is ideal for this as it provides double-sided shelving for maximum display space. Wire stacking baskets and dump bins also offer extra shelving at very little cost, enabling you to create displays in any spare area of your store, for example, a line of bins by the counter where customers are queuing. End caps or end bays neaten up gondola and wall shelving runs and provide a whole extra unit of shelving to display seasonal and promotional items - perfect for fill-in products.

Fill-in products are the ideal "grab and go" sales, generating extra impulse buys and making your convenience store live up to its name as a convenient local shop!

Shelving4Shops holds large quantities of used and new shop shelving and accessories, available in black, grey and cream, including:

·     Gondola shelving - This is a popular shelving choice in many stores, use gondola units to create aisles throughout your store or use them in conjunction with other units we offer to create seamless shelving throughout your store
·     Wall shelving - This shelving can be used around the perimeter of your shop floor to maximise your floor space and provide ample room for displaying items.
·     Shopping baskets - Placing baskets at the front and around your store is a great way to encourage customers to purchase more items as baskets make it easier for them to hold items.
·     Wire stacking baskets - These are an excellent way, like dump bins, to display impulse purchase items and sale items throughout the store. As these are freestanding they can be used to fill empty space in your store and can be easily moved to create new interesting displays.
·     Corner shelving - Utilise every inch of floor space you have by using specialist corner shelving to bring life back into an overlooked corner of your store.
·     Peg board shelving and pegs - Not all products sit well on classic flat shelving, our range of pegboard shelving allows you to hang products to ensure they are displayed in the best way possible. All of our bays can be slotted together to ensure a seamless shelving display.

Accessorise your shop shelving

Shelving4shops has an extensive range of shelving accessories - all of which can be seen at our Leicestershire shop shelving showroom. There are so many ways to accessorise your store, from acrylic risers to shopping baskets, helping to complete the look of your shop and organise your stock.

These are used to stop your items falling off your shelves and are generally used for confectionery. Adding a riser to a shelf enables you to tilt the shelf so that customers can easily see what is available. These give a clean finish and are excellent for a store with a modern look.

Chrome shelf risers can also be used when tilting your shelves. They are regularly used to stop cans or bottles accidentally being knocked off shelves. This means you can put your baked beans right to the edge of the shelf! Chrome shelf risers are very hard wearing, so are much better for heavier stock. To accompany your chrome shelf risers, you could also consider chrome shelf dividers which will allow you to divide your shelves for smaller packets and boxes to stop products from getting mixed up.

Wire stacking baskets are a great use of space and can be placed anywhere in your store. You can either use them as stand-alone units, place them onto your shelves to create a bigger storage space for awkward-shaped produce which does not easily fit onto a standard shelf. Wire stacking baskets are a versatile and useful addition to any store and are often used for fresh produce like fruit and vegetables. You can even attach castors to the bottom of your stacking baskets so that they can be wheeled in and out of your store.

Not the prettiest of names but a dump bin is an excellent use of store space. Special offers, discontinued stock, crisps and a whole manner of other things can be put into prime positions in your store using dump bins. You could place a dump bin next to the counter or have a run of special offers leading up the first aisle.  Such a versatile and cheap product should be taken advantage of to maximum effect in your store.

Space is always at a premium in the retail industry, so if you have a small gap that needs filling, a tiered set of trays is a great way to fill the space. Available with 3 or 5 tiers, these wire trays are a great alternative if you do not have the volume of stock to fill a whole dump bin or stacking basket. They are light and therefore easy to move around the store if you wanted to change the placement of your products.

To enable customers to browse comfortably, make sure there are shopping baskets available at the entrance of your store. Having a basket or trolley means that customers are far more likely to pick up spontaneous purchases. Depending on the size of your store, you can have wheeled or hand-carried baskets, or even trolleys. Baskets and trolleys are designed to get your customers shopping, so ensure they're maintained well and keep an eye out for any damage that might discourage use.

Revamp your store without spending the earth

Is your store or shop shelving in need of a bit of a revamp? It's very easy to put these things off with the logic that it's better to do it all in one big go, but sometimes it's much more effective (and cost-efficient) to update the little details of your store regularly so that it constantly looks in great condition. You'd be surprised how much difference just a small change can make! Here are just a few ideas:
  • Updating your Epos strips helps to keep your shop shelving looking neat and clean, and you can even colour-coordinate your ticket strips with the branding of your shop, or colour-code different sections to help customers find the right item.
  • If you have a run of shop shelving with one or two units in disrepair, there's no need to replace the whole lot - Shelving4Shops can help you to find a used shelving unit to fill the gap and match the remaining shelving units so that you can keep your store looking tidy.
  • Is you flooring uneven, worn, or dirty? Installing new flooring or carpeting can make a huge impact to the appearance of your store. Granted it's a fairly big operation to carry out, but it is not as expensive as a complete refit and can be done in a day with the right team of workers! If you can't stretch to a whole new floor, take some time to give your existing flooring a proper deep clean.
  • Worn out or flickering fighting can have a really poor effect on the appearance of your store. It's really worth investing in reliable lighting to show off your products properly and make your shop bright and inviting.
  • When was the last time you reorganised your shop shelving? Why not try a different shelving combination, add peg board shelving or a magazine shop racking? You might find a more efficient method of displaying products and give the appearance of a real update for your store.
  • Dump bins and stacking wire baskets can be placed almost anywhere in a store, providing additional temporary shelving and display space for promotional or seasonal items, or any products that are end-of-line stock that you're hoping to shift quickly! Place them at the end of aisles, in empty corners, or near the checkout counter to encourage spontaneous purchases.
  • Shiny, bright, multi-coloured shopping baskets placed by the entrance of your store help to encourage customers to use them, meaning they're more likely to pick up a few more items than they would otherwise. If your shopping baskets are old and outdated, why not revamp with a set of new ones?

Sometimes the little details can make a big difference to the appearance of your shop shelving and the overall atmosphere of your store. Take the time to update one part of your store each week, and see how much better it looks by the end of the month.

Along with all of the shelving and accessories mentioned above, Shelving4shops stocks a full range of quality shelving which we now offer in cream, black and grey, including:

New Stock: Vegetable Rack Displays

Shelving4Shops
has just added another product to its ever-expanding stock range of shop shelving and shop fittings. Vegetable racks are a great way of displaying fruit and veg in an attractive way, without needing to use the more common method of tilting shelves. This great display technique frees up vital retail space, allowing you to maximise your existing shelving and display more products, helping to increase profits.

Vegetable stands can be placed inside or outside convenience stores, and provide an attractive display area at the front of any shop which may encourage customers to come in and browse your fresh produce. These compact stands are a great addition to our retail shelving and wire basket range. Other products in a similar style include:

  • Wire dump bins: Dump bins are a great addition to any retail store, filling up awkward spaces and providing a place to display end-of-line products and odd-shaped goods without taking up shelf space.
  • Wire stacking baskets: These baskets are designed to sit directly onto a shelf or be stacked against a wall, or at the end of a gondola run. Common uses for wire stacking baskets include displaying crisps, fruit and vegetables, hardware products and impulse buys.
  • Wire shelf risers: Risers are a great way to display confectionery like sweets and biscuits, or any goods that require tilting shelves.
Alongside these new products we have our existing stock of quality shelving which we now offer in cream, black and grey:

Dump Bins and Stacking Wire Baskets

Fitting out a retail store isn't just about the wall shelving - there are plenty of shop accessories like dump bins and baskets that can make your store more efficient and provide you with additional storage and display space.

Dump bins are a handy and adaptable addition to your shop shelving that can fit in corners and alcoves that previously were wasting space. Placed at the end of aisles or by the shop counter, dump bins and baskets also encourage spontaneous impulse buying, and are ideal for displaying end of stock items or promotional and seasonal products, or items that are not easily stacked on a shelf.

Our standard dump bin comes in durable chrome and measures 800mm by 480mm with an adjustable base which can be placed at the height that suits your products. All our dump bins come flat packed for easy transport and can be taken apart and easily stored if you need extra space. At just £20, dump bins are a useful and effective way of creating an extra display within your store without sacrificing on space.

As well as dump bins, we stock a variety of stacking baskets and wire shelving units. Stacking baskets are perfect for fresh produce and making the most of difficult spaces within your store, while providing several tiers of shelving. Choose from 3 or 5 tiered wire basket shelving, in horizontal or vertical arrangements, or a free-standing 5 tier wire shelving unit for larger spaces. Costing from just £18, wire baskets are a very affordable option for valuable additional shelving space.

It is also important to consider how you are going to provide product information and display prices to customers in the various forms of display units. Often, dump bins or stacking baskets hold impulse purchase items so you want customers to quickly and easily see the price and product information to allow them to quickly pick something up on their way past.

For standard shelving like gondola bays and end bays EPOS shelf edge strips are a quick and effective way to display information. All of our bays are compatible with EPOS strips and can add a pop of colour to your shelving or be used in a similar colour scheme as the rest of your store creating a flow of colour throughout. If you are using dump bins or stacking baskets then EPOS strips will not be the best option for you, instead why not use other points of sale like individual product stickers, these can be really useful if customers pick up items and place them elsewhere in the store as each item has the price on it. Alternatively, pricing clips work perfectly with basket storage as they can easily be clipped onto the front or side of the basket and display all of the information a customer could need.
